Safety and control systems
The intensification of fish farming usually leads to higher stocking densities. Today's technical capabilities make this possible.
Difficulties always arise when aerators or input systems fail because of a power failure, interruption in the oxygen supply or some other problem.
To protect against unpleasant surprises and increase safety, it makes sense to install a monitoring system.
Alarm systems for signalling power failures, often in conjunction with emergency power generators, are therefore frequently found. Unfortunately, this does not provide sufficient protection with regard to the oxygen supply. A torn hose, for example, is not detected. This means that, despite the continuous input system, the oxygen content in the water can reach dangerously low concentrations and, in extreme cases, result in the total loss of the stock.
Constant monitoring of the oxygen content using electronic probes directly in the pond offers greater safety. Based on this idea, LINN Gerätebau has developed complete monitoring systems.
